CWT Distribution pledge to reduce carbon footprint with Ecologi

CWT Distribution are excited to announce the steps we are taking to reduce our impact on the planet with the launch of our CWT Green brand and our support for Ecologi’s pledge.

Like most businesses, there are elements to our business that impact the planet. The good news is these days, it’s relatively simple to ensure that this process is entirely carbon-offset and more trees are planted to replace the ones used. This includes the entire path of supply, from source to printer, and is part and parcel of FSC and PEFC certified papers.

It is important to identify, understand and respond to environmental factors that matter most to our partners and our business in finding a greener solution for our door-to-door delivery service.

The current impacts on CWT

A number of goals have been identified by the team at CWT – keeping up with industry trends we can concentrate our resources on activities which generate the most value.

By increasing our engagement and collaboration with FSC paper, we can offer the printing and distribution of advertisements that have been responsibly harvested. The Forest Management Certification means all FSC® certified materials are responsibly sourced. At a slight additional cost, you’re able to keep up with global trends that demand businesses manage their environmental impact.

Vehicles

We use vans to transport our stock and to transport our distributors around. With a clear global trend focused on the adoption of electric vehicles, CWT are making transitions over the coming years and by 2030 aim to only use EV’s in our transport and distribution services.

Distribution

Our distributors have almost a zero impact on the planet whilst distributing as they deliver the items on foot with no need for any carbon emitting machinery.

So, what are we doing to solve this?

Our ‘CWT Green’ brand combines of four elements, of which you can choose one, some or all in order to help us reduce our impact on the planet.

Zero Emission

We hope to grow the number of electric vehicles we operate over the next 4 years. Switching our entire fleet to electric by 2030.

Sustainable Print

Leaflets, letters, magazines and even packaging materials can be chosen from our 100% recycled range to reduce our impact on the planet.

We Plant

We are planting mini forests all over the world which are growing rapidly. The forests capture carbon and create brilliant habitats for wildlife in a matter of years. We aim to plant over 33,000 trees over the next 4 years.
